Reviving Abbasi Caravanserai and Historical houses of Gaz

Emphasizing that Gaz is a rich city in terms of having tangible and intangible heritage, Mahmoud Bakhshi, the mayor of Gaz and Barkhar said, “We can claim that the old of Gaz is more than Isfahan and what we are following in the domain of Gaz civilization, history and antiquities is to allow tourism to thrive and show the real beauty of Gaz for who are interested to discover the beauties,”

“The most important thing that we are looking for, is to revive the Abbasi Caravanserai that is located near the road to Tehran and the consulations in this regard has been undertaken and we hope that the Caravanserai will be opened by the end of this year and used as an accommodation, recreation and tourism center; In addition, we are also looking for the reviving of the historical houses of the city,” he said.

"Fortunately, there are many historical houses in Gaz that many of them have been nationally registered, and both the private and the public sector can invest in the historical houses and help to renew the houses. The current museum of Gaz is prepared by Mr. Frostan for his own passion. He bought the relics and display them in the museum for free. Since the allocated spaces in museum are not adequate and the museum is running out of space, we have been constructing a Cultural Association since two years ago and we hope to supply the required funds to finish the project,” the mayor of Gaz said.
