Composer of "Majid's Tales" passed away

The composer of the memorable series of Majid's tales passed away.

Isfahan (IMNA) _Iranian musician, composer and arranger, Naser cheshmazar, passed away due to the heart disease on Friday morning, May 14th. He was born in 1950; since his childhood, he learned music from his father, who was active in making and playing music instruments. At the age of 20, he passed jazz courses in America. He also traveled to America in 1978 and continued his studies of "film music" for 5 years. He returned to Iran in 1984 and continued his activities. A few days ago and after thirty years, he held a music concert at Vahdat Hall.

This musician was the nominee for the best soundtrack of "The Crystal Phoenix Award [Simorgh Bolurin] "For the soundtrack of "Hamoon" and "Long Lost Sisters". He once won the Simorgh Bolurin in the 12th Fajr International Film Festival for the "Bolandhay-e- Sefr" and the "Evil Eye" and another time at the 20th Fajr Film Festival for the "Poisonous Mushroom" movie.

One of the most memorable albums of this composer is the 'Rain of Love' which was released officially in 2000; it has been one of the most beautiful and enduring Iranian wordless albums so far. The pieces of this album are very familiar to the audiences due to their endless broadcasting on television.
