The event appreciates experts on Molana's works each year and this year Gholamhosssein Ebrahimi-Dinani and Rahman Moshtaq-Mehr have been selected to be honored, said organizier of the ceremony Saeed Mohammadzadeh Akbari.
Representatives from 14 Persian-speaking nations including Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan are participating in the event and delegates of countries such as France, Britain and Canada which have Persian language deparments in the their universities have been invited.
The conference has received works in various categories including research articles, poetry and prose, music, calligraphy and painting related to Rumi.
Ten selected works will be awarded at the event, Akbari said.
The ceremony commemorating world-known Iranian poet and mystic Molana Jalaleddin Mohammad Rumi to be attended by 14 Persian-speaking countries is to open in Shahid Beheshti University on Friday.
