At Fight Against Corruption Week, the Isfahan Mayor, Ghodratollah Norouzi, called public supervision as the best monitoring measures to fight corruption.

Norouzi said: “clarity is the best tool in the fight against corruption. Isfahan Municipality is the first municipality in the country of Iran to provide the main platform for freedom of information act.

According to IMNA, Norouzi spoke at “Salaam Isfahan (Hello Isfahan)” program at a local radio station to name the current week “Fight Against Corruption Week” and said: “it is a very important regulation which can lead to positive approaches to fight corruption.”

“We aim to facilitate the public and officials with means and measures to fight corruption. I believe the public’s supervision and assessments of managers is the best monitoring measures to fight corruption,” Isfahan Mayor said.

Isfahan is scheduled to host World Wrestling Clubs Cup’s Men's Greco-Roman on 14-15 December, 2017.

Norouzi said: “international events brings people of different nations together and Isfahan can use this opportunity to extend its friendship with other countries. Tourism and marketing have strong potentials at such international events to grow.”
