Two Iranian inventors auction their medals for quake-hit kids

Two young Iranian inventors from Tabriz, capital of East Azarbaijan province, Cyrus Paldi and Javad Dastyafteh put their world medals on auction for quake-hit children of Kermanshah.

Paldi told Wednesday that necessary coordination has been made by National Olympic Committee to put on auction the medals and allocated the amount for quake-hit children in west of Iran, IRNA reported.

'Our gold medals for the years 2016 and 2017 will be put on auction,' he added.

'We hope by this action we may take a small step to relieve pains of these kids', Paldi concluded.

A strong earthquake magnitude 7.3 on the Richter scale jolted western provinces of Iran on Sunday November 12, 2017 at 21:48 hours local time, which left 432 dead and 9,388 injured so far.
