Iran's ancient history book registered as world heritage in UNESCO

A genuine book of 'Jami-al-Tawarikh' or 'Rashidi History' written by Rashid-ul-ddin Fazlollah Hamadani kept in Golestan Museum in Tehran was registered as world heritage in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

Head of National Library and Archives Organization of Iran (NLAOI) Ashraf Boroujerdi announced the news and said that this book is a window not only to the history of Iran, but the whole humanity. For this book suggests Iran as a much wider cultural concept than political borders.

The exhibition started work on October 27 to November 3, 2017 in Grand Musalla of Tehran.

Jami al-Tawarikh is a work of literature and history produced in the Mongol Ilkhanate era in Persia and was completed in 1310 AC.
