Isfahan metro extends to Sofeh, intervals drop

As urban managers stated: first line of Isfahan metro is scheduled to be fully available to the last station by the end of the current Iranian calendar year 1396 (late March 2018).

IMNA quotes the chairman of Isfahan City Council while speaking at the board meeting of Isfahan metro organization: all the authorities are supposed to do serious efforts to complete the remaining sections of the metro line including the stations.

Fathollah Moein said: the 5th City Council pays special attention to public transportation especially the city metro, confirming: now best efforts are needed to finish with the remaining stations.

Decreasing train intervals, increasing metro hours  

The supervisor of Isfahan metro organization, Mohammad Noursalehi, publicized that the city trains are now run at 10-minute intervals, also the metro hours are now from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Qods station to Azadi Sq. station. The organization is best trying to extend the hours to 8 p.m.  

1st metro line to be fully available by end of current Iranian year

The chief advisor of Isfahan Mayor pointed out at the meeting: undoubtedly, the positive perspective of provincial and urban managers, city council, and metro personnel will lead to fulfil this need of the citizens regarding the metro completion.

It should be noted that after exploiting the first and second phases, as well as first section of the third phase, the city train is now working from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. carrying passengers from Qods station to Azadi Square.
