Iranian father-son musical to perform in Chehelsotoun

Shahram Nazeri and his son, the contemporary well-known Iranian musicians, will give a big concert in historical Chehelsotoun Palace of Isfahan on September 7th and 8th.

IMNA reports: born in 1949 in kermanshah, Shahram Nazeri is a contemporary tenor vocalist who sings traditional music. He is also given the title of “The Knight of the Voice”.

He has inspired mostly from Mowlana, the Iranian poet, in his works and has created a modern style of music combining both Persian epic, mystical literature.

He is also known among the first-ever people who succeeded to deploy Ferdowsi’s poems to compose traditional music.

He has released over 40 music albums until the present day.

Nazeri is famous all around the world. He was granted the “de la Légion d'honneur” from France in 2007, and in 2014 won the “Ordre national du Mérite” from the same country. New York Times has also granted the title “Persian Nightingale” to him.

Hafez Nazeri, the son, is famous not thanks to his father’s fame. He is known for his creativity and skills. He started learning music at the age of 9 with his father. Now a worldwide vocalist and player, Hafez has interestingly innovated a stringed instrument based on the traditional instrument, Setar, and has named it after the famous Iranian poet, Hafez.
