Fathollah Moein, the provisional head of Isfahan City Council, said: closing discussions over the two final nominees, naming Abtahi and Nowrouzi, resulted in election of Nowrouzi as the future mayor of Isfahan.
Moein added: Ghodratollah Nowrouzi swept into the office with an easy victory. He received 10 votes out of the total 13 for the position of Isfahan mayor.
It is worth to note that the newly elected mayor used to serve as the head of the reformists campaign in Isfahan during the latest round of the city council elections.
