Ference Varsanyi: ICFF enjoys Iranian cinema standard level

In accordance with the information center of the 30th ICFF located in Isfahan, Ference Varsanyi the jury member from Hungary declared: films made for the ongoing edition of the festival include different aspects with various viewpoints fortunately.

Ference Varsanyi, in an interview with IMNA English Desk, pointed to some films for the children and some others about the children and for their parents. He considered it as a distinguished point of the festival and added: at the time being, the 30th International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is standing at the standard level of an international festival with perfect graphics and features.  

The jury member distinguished the current edition of the festival with the past years’ in that animation section is utterly separated. Another interesting issue for him was the very professional movies for adults, and some made by students.

“I saw a great Iranian short film titled “The Wind Suddenly Rises”. It was a black and white movie. A very beautiful graphic style, beautiful atmosphere, a story which mentally was really human-like, about soul of the people all attracted me. I hope that I will see some more Iranian films with the same professional levels”, he explained.  

He reminded that he had been a jury member in different countries including Portugal, Germany, Czech, Spain and Hungary, adding: It is my first time to Iran though.  

He expressed satisfaction over the cinemas in Iran, the screening rooms, seats, lighting, and sound.

Ference Varsanyi has found Iranians very sociable and hospitable. “Iranian people are open-minded and polite. They feel glad to communicate with one another”, he replied to the interviewer.
